Three new shows will be on display at The Cultural Foundation, a venue for the arts run by the Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism until February 2, 2023.

A wide range of works by female artists from the Middle East will be on display in the various shows, together with recently commissioned pieces by 22 Emirati digital artists.

The exhibition features abstract works of art that are presented in their own sections for the benefit of visitors. There are three exhibitions available for exploration

Fahrelnissa and the Institutes: Towards a Sky

The season’s premier show honors the abstract creations of Jordan’s first female modern and contemporary painters. The acclaimed Middle Eastern artists Fahrelnissa Zeid, Hind Nasser, Wijdan, and Ufemia Rizk will all be featured.

Life is a Circus

This is the first non-fungible token (NFT) art show put up by the Foundation. Emirati artist Jalal Luqman returns to the Cultural Foundation in Life is a Circus alongside 22 digital artists from the UAE, all of whom have been hired to create work, especially for the show. Through a topic that explores the ironies of modern life, the exhibition examines how digital art has changed through time.

Lullabies: A Journey Through Song

Reem Al Hashmi, an Emirati who is in charge of curating the children’s exhibition, has chosen a selection of lullabies from the Middle East, Africa, and Asia, among other places, to take parents and caregivers on a journey through childhood lullabies. Through various media formats, including video animations, interactive games, and exploration zones, the exhibition illustrates the background, significance, and application of each song.
