A$AP Rocky has officially launched his Moncler Genius collection, marking a seamless merger of his street-savvy aesthetic with the Italian label’s luxury outerwear. First previewed at Moncler’s 2024 City of Genius event, the collection celebrates Rocky’s signature urban style while paying homage to vintage ski apparel from the 1970s.
Retro Ski Meets Modern Street
Rocky, also the creative force behind AWGE, imbues the line with bold color-blocking, trompe l’oeil details, and layered logos from both Moncler and his agency. Charlotte Rutherford’s campaign photography highlights the collection’s glossy technical fabrics and saturated palette, featuring lava red, electric indigo, and bright emerald balanced with classic black and white.
Standout pieces include the trompe l’oeil puffer t-shirt and the Bahianinha short down jacket with its 3D geometric quilting. Bold graphics, including the rapper’s upcoming album title Don’t Be Dumb, appear across the collection alongside prominent Moncler and AWGE branding. Double waistlines reminiscent of boxer shorts nod to Rocky’s streetwear roots, while a puffer-enhanced long-sleeve polo shirt further merges urban edge with alpine functionality.
