At Milan Fashion Week, creative director Silvia Venturini Fendi unveiled Fendi’s Spring/Summer 2026 collection, a vivid and youthful celebration of craft, fantasy, and maximalism. Departing from minimalist trends, the collection embraces bold colours, intricate floral motifs, and imaginative designs that highlight the brand’s signature craftsmanship.
The runway was a kaleidoscope of deep reds, bright turquoise, and bubblegum pinks, contrasted with classic neutrals. Flowers took centre stage, appearing as cut-out daisy petals on jackets and dresses, delicate blurred prints on sheer fabrics, and even a fur coat meticulously assembled from individual florets—a testament to Fendi’s technical prowess.
Reinvented Handbags and Playful Accessories
Fendi’s iconic handbags received whimsical updates. The Peekaboo, for instance, concealed sequined or tinsel linings beneath a subtle exterior, creating a playful surprise. Other designs featured scrunched leather, wooden beads, and artistic textures, adding tactile dimension and flair. Venturini Fendi described the collection as embodying a “relaxed and colorful sense of ease with a romantic elegance,” perfectly capturing the balance between intricate workmanship and joyful simplicity.
Maximalism Meets Craft
The SS26 collection signals a new direction for Fendi—moving boldly into maximalism while honouring the maison’s heritage of technical mastery. From striking colour combinations to inventive textures, the line demonstrates how artistry, imagination, and fashion can converge in playful sophistication.
