Louis Vuitton has revealed a handcrafted Trophy Trunk created exclusively for the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix 2025, reaffirming the Maison’s long-standing tradition that “Victory Travels in Louis Vuitton.”
The luxury trunk will hold the official trophy for the 75th anniversary of Formula 1, celebrating the return of the Las Vegas Grand Prix as the 22nd race of the season, set along the vibrant Strip from November 20 to 22, 2025.
A Modern Tribute to Heritage and Speed
Continuing its legacy of crafting custom trunks for the world’s most iconic sporting events, Louis Vuitton designed the piece in its historic Asnières atelier in France. The exterior features the brand’s signature Monogram canvas, enhanced by a bold ‘V’ motif symbolizing both “Victory” and “Vuitton.” The black-and-white Damier pattern along the sides pays homage to the checkered flag that marks the race’s finish line.
Each detail underscores Louis Vuitton’s enduring connection to the automotive world — a relationship that dates back to 1897, when Georges Vuitton, the founder’s son, designed the first automotive trunks for travelers embarking on long road journeys.
Reinforcing a Legacy of Craft and Collaboration
The creation of the Trophy Trunk forms part of the broader partnership between Louis Vuitton and Formula 1, under the LVMH Group’s Global Partner agreement. It symbolizes the fusion of craftsmanship, innovation, and sporting excellence — values that continue to define both the Maison and the world of motorsport.
As the Las Vegas Grand Prix approaches, the bespoke trunk stands not only as a vessel for victory but also as a celebration of artistry, heritage, and the pursuit of perfection — hallmarks of Louis Vuitton’s enduring spirit.
