Louis Erard has teamed up once again with independent watchmaker Konstantin Chaykin to launch the “Unfrogettable” regulator pair, a lighthearted yet meticulously crafted addition to the maison’s creative catalogue. This third collaboration blends Chaykin’s celebrated Wristmons character aesthetic with Louis Erard’s traditional regulator layout, resulting in a pair of expressive timepieces offered in bold green and purple editions.
A Frog-Inspired Regulator With Folklore Roots
The concept draws from both Slavic and Japanese folklore, merging the tale of the frog princess with the symbolism of the Japanese kaeru, a creature associated with luck, resilience and safe returns. Chaykin reimagines the classic regulator display by treating the separate hour, minute and second indications as facial features. The eye-like subdials and the wide, curved minute track together create a whimsical frog expression that immediately echoes the Wristmons design language while still honouring Louis Erard’s regulator heritage.
The lacquered emerald-green and deep-purple dials heighten the watches’ playful energy. Meanwhile, contrasting accents and layered textures bring depth, giving each version a distinctive personality without losing the finesse expected from a Swiss-made piece.
Limited Editions Powered by Sellita Automatic Movements
Inside the 40 mm stainless steel case sits the Sellita SW266-1 automatic calibre, which delivers a 38-hour power reserve. A domed sapphire crystal, transparent caseback and 5 ATM of water resistance round out the technical package, maintaining practicality alongside the expressive design.
Each colourway is limited to 178 pieces — a symbolic number referencing “Louis Erard” in gematria — and both versions come fitted with matching calfskin straps. Priced at 4,000 CHF (around $4,948 USD), the “Unfrogettable” models are now open for inquiries through Louis Erard and authorised retailers.
