LEGO has unveiled a life-size replica of the FIFA World Cup trophy, made from 2,842 gold-toned bricks, ahead of the 2026 tournament. Standing at 36.8cm, the set reimagines the iconic trophy with intricate plastic geometry while retaining its original silhouette. Designed under the LEGO Editions banner, it targets teen and adult fans who enjoy collectible, display-focused builds.

Hidden Diorama and Historical Details
The trophy contains a secret diorama inside the upper globe, featuring the 2026 World Cup logo and an exclusive minifigure hoisting a mini trophy. Additionally, the base plaque lists every World Cup champion since 1974, adding a historical element for collectors and football enthusiasts. This combination of display and interactive features turns the trophy into a coffee-table centerpiece while celebrating the sport’s legacy.
Launch and Fan Engagement
The set will be released in March 2026 for approximately $200 USD, coinciding with the expanded 48-team tournament in North America. Julia Goldin from LEGO described the trophy as “a universal symbol of achievement and unity,” highlighting that the collaboration allows fans to experience it “piece by piece – in true LEGO style.” FIFA frames the partnership as a way to enhance fan experiences at festivals and special events, while teasing additional LEGO Editions drops throughout the year.
