Each piece is crafted from upcycled camel-colored canvas tents dating back to the 1950s, blending sustainability with golf culture.
The collection was curated by Hypegolf Japan, which also launched an eBay store to release the lineup domestically for a limited time. eBay, renowned for vintage and pre-owned goods, has become a hub for exclusive collaborations, particularly in fashion. Growing interest in circular consumption has further fueled demand for pre-loved and refreshed products worldwide.
Unique Design and Craftsmanship
Karsten Jurkschat, founder of Gumtree Golf & Nature Club, explains the connection: “We rarely collaborate with big brands, but if there’s a genuine connection, it’s different. eBay was a perfect match. I’ve sourced countless vintage tents, fabrics and quilts from eBay sites around the world—it’s truly a treasure trove of amazing materials, all waiting for a second life.”
Every piece in the collection is one-of-a-kind. The faded burnt orange and mustard canvas shows natural patina developed over decades, accented by brass D-rings and off-white camping rope details. Vintage fabrics from across the United States contribute traces of wear, stains, and scuffs—marks that enhance the character of each item.
Functionality remains a priority: brown felt linings, stretch rings, and adaptable sizing accommodate a variety of club heads. Differences in stitching, panel placement, and patches ensure each item is a unique artifact of craftsmanship.
Availability and Charitable Purpose
Pricing starts at approximately $100 USD for fairway wood covers, $125 USD for driver covers, and $135 USD for shoe bags. All purchases are processed in US dollars via eBay.com, with Japanese yen equivalents provided for reference.
In addition to its collectible appeal, the collection supports a charitable cause: 100% of proceeds will be donated to the PGA Junior League, which promotes youth golf development.
