Seiko continues its King Seiko lineage with the Vanac “Tokyo Horizon” collection, honoring the iconic 1970s Vanac line. The new release features two variants, Urban Greenery and Urban Gardens, both showcasing patterned dials inspired by Tokyo’s expansive urban skyline. Moreover, the designs preserve the classic King Seiko aesthetic while presenting a modern interpretation.
Design and Craftsmanship
Both watches integrate patterned dials with matching leather straps that flow seamlessly into the case. In addition, the case architecture and dial aesthetics remain faithful to the original 1970s Vanac models, ensuring that the collection retains its distinctive identity. The design balances visual appeal with everyday wearability, reflecting Seiko’s commitment to both style and functionality.
Advanced In-House Movement
At the core of these new references is Seiko’s in-house 8L45 mechanical caliber, offering robust performance with an accuracy of +10/–5 seconds and a three-day power reserve. Furthermore, both the Urban Greenery and Urban Gardens models are available for pre-order through Seiko’s UK website, priced at £2,800 GBP (approx. $3,726 USD), with deliveries scheduled to begin in January.
