PUMA has officially launched its Fast & Furious collaboration, translating iconic early-2000s car culture into basketball-ready sneakers. By leveraging signature silhouettes such as the MB.05, LaFrancé RNR, and LaFrancé, the collection captures both cinematic nostalgia and on-court performance. Consequently, each design merges motorsport references with basketball technology, appealing to both franchise fans and collectors of limited-edition sneakers.
Signature Models and Design Details
The MB.05 receives two standout treatments inspired by franchise vehicles. The first mirrors Brian O’Conner’s orange Toyota Supra, integrating neon yellow and metallic silver scratch marks alongside flame overlays. A tonal orange midsole reinforces the film-inspired monochromatic intensity. Meanwhile, the second MB.05 channels Suki’s pink Honda S2000, translating its automotive paint and airbrush detailing onto layered upper textures for a vivid, anime-infused effect.
Departing from performance models, the LaFrancé RNR channels American muscle through glossy black patent leather, reflective silver piping, and red accents referencing Dom Toretto’s Dodge Charger. Additionally, the LaFrancé silhouette adopts a motorsport focus, paying tribute to the Nissan Skyline GT-R with silver and blue racing stripes across the upper. These models collectively balance lifestyle appeal with performance functionality, bridging the collection’s cinematic and athletic narratives.
Release Strategy and Availability
The Fast & Furious x PUMA pack is scheduled for release on February 12. Both MB.05 colorways and the LaFrancé models will be available via the PUMA webstore and select global retailers, offering fans and collectors multiple points of access.
