Abu Dhabi’s Sheikh Fatima Park to have its grand opening over the National Day weekend

Abu Dhabi’s Sheikha Fatima Park is all set for its grand opening that will be celebrated over the Golden Jubilee weekend. Formally known as ‘Khalidiyah Ladies Park’, the place underwent recreation, which will now host a variety of activities for all, including a skate park, a pet park, and boulder climb attraction, among others.

The grand opening of the park will happen over the long National Day weekend of December 2 to December 3, 2021, from 2 PM onwards. The opening event is expected to have live music, a photography exhibition, special food stalls, art, kids’ entertainment, sports, an outdoor cinema and more. Located on Abu Dhabi’s corniche, the park is spread across 46,000 square meters offers lush greenery, consisting of different sports activities for all ages, retail stores, spaces for events, and even dining options.

Offering a variety of food and beverage options, the park will have New York-style hotdog spot Seven Dawgs, Coal Steakhouse, Crunch and Munch Cafe, Sola Restaurant, Chocolate Republic Cafe, Teela House, Starbucks, Social Restaurant, Le Patchouli Cafe, Acai Ko Cafe, and Dialogue. The park has been divided into three zones— the discovery zone, which is designed for skating and strolling—an area to enjoy favourite outdoor activities.

The Adventure zone includes a skate park, Pet Park, splash pad area, toddler play zone, and an indoor boulder climb attraction. Lastly, the Experience zone comprises the park’s sports activities, a ‘Crank’ gym, and an area dedicated specifically for outdoor yoga.
