Meanwhile, LEGO is extending its premium wall-display strategy by introducing a new LEGO Art release inspired by the gardens of Giverny. Notably, the project was developed in collaboration with The Metropolitan Museum of Art and centers on the work of Claude Monet. Moreover, the 3,179-piece set reinterprets the 1899 painting “Bridge over a Pond of Water Lilies” as a three-dimensional relief rather than a flat mosaic. At the same time, the build uses unconventional bricks to reproduce the depth and color transitions associated with the original oil composition.

Design execution and experiential value

Meanwhile, the finished model measures more than 20 inches in height and 16 inches in width and supports viewing from two distinct distances. From afar, the structure resolves into a calm Impressionist landscape, while up close it reveals a deliberately fragmented and playful construction style. In addition, the design team applies a tactile three-dimensional surface technique by stacking tiles and plates to emulate Monet’s brushwork on “The Water-Lily Pond” (1899). Notably, foliage and water textures are composed of repurposed elements, including swords, bananas, butterfly wings, and cherries, to form the shapes of lilies and weeping willows. Furthermore, the set functions as an educational product, allowing builders to access a dedicated podcast through a QR code inside the instruction booklet. In particular, the audio feature features a curator from The Met who discusses Monet’s life, his garden, and the painting’s artistic context.

Availability and commercial outlook

Meanwhile, the framed artwork features a built-in hanging mechanism for immediate display. Looking ahead, early access for LEGO Insiders begins on March 1, 2026, followed by a global release on March 4, 2026. However, the company will distribute the set exclusively through LEGO channels and retail partners worldwide, reinforcing its strategy to position LEGO Art products within the premium collectible segment.
