The third phase of the Dubai Content Creators Programme has commenced with the introduction of the Cultural Content Creators Programme, an initiative organized by Dubai Press Club in collaboration with Dubai Culture and Arts Authority. The programme aims to equip emerging creators with advanced skills in digital storytelling and content production while promoting Dubai’s cultural identity and expanding the visibility of its creative industries.

Running until June 19, the initiative forms part of wider efforts to support media talent and foster cultural narratives that reflect the emirate’s evolving artistic landscape. Consequently, participants will gain practical experience in visual communication, audience engagement, and the use of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence.

Focus on Cultural Storytelling and Creative Production

The Cultural Content Creators Programme combines interactive sessions with specialized workshops led by professionals from media, digital platforms, and content creation. In addition, the programme encourages participants to explore new approaches to storytelling that highlight the richness and diversity of Dubai’s cultural environment.

During the opening event, Mona Ghanem Al Marri emphasized the role of creators in presenting Dubai’s cultural identity to global audiences.

She highlighted the growing importance of culturally aware content creators who can produce authentic, knowledge-based content that preserves heritage while presenting it in a contemporary way. She added that the programme invests in young people as the foundation of the future, aiming to nurture creators who can strengthen cultural identity and connect the past, present, and future through meaningful storytelling.

Meanwhile, Hala Badri underscored the significance of cultural content within the creative economy.

Badri said that every city has a story to tell and that Dubai’s story is one of creativity, openness, and possibility. She added that, through the Cultural Content Creators programme, they are investing in the next generation of storytellers and empowering them to capture the spirit of the city in authentic, innovative ways. She noted that their voices have the power to celebrate heritage, document achievements, and share the experiences that make Dubai a dynamic and inspiring place to live, work, and create.

Furthermore, she stated that the programme reflects the Authority’s commitment to fostering an enabling environment that empowers creatives and content creators to expand their knowledge and strengthen their capabilities in digital media, cultural storytelling, and content creation, while encouraging them to contribute to broader dialogue and cultural exchange.

Building Dubai’s Creative Ecosystem

According to Badri, access to emerging technologies and industry expertise will enable participants to turn ideas into content that engages audiences locally and internationally.

She added that creativity flourishes when people are empowered to tell their own stories, and that through this programme, they are creating new pathways for talent to contribute to Dubai’s cultural future while showcasing the richness and diversity of its creative ecosystem.

Maryam Al Mulla noted that the third phase of the Dubai Content Creators Programme represents a new stage in developing specialized digital media skills. Additionally, she said that the collaboration with Dubai Culture reflects a shared commitment to advancing cultural storytelling and strengthening Dubai’s growing creative economy.

Meanwhile, Wedad Kahoor said the programme combines theoretical knowledge with practical application, enabling participants to develop narratives and create high-quality digital content while deepening their understanding of Dubai’s cultural landscape.

This latest edition builds upon previous phases dedicated to economic, health, and science content. As a result, the Dubai Content Creators Programme continues to expand its role in preparing media professionals and digital storytellers for the rapidly evolving creative industries sector.
