The UAE Tour will return in 2027 as part of the UCI WorldTour calendar. According to the UCI, the men’s race will run from February 15 to 21, 2027, across the United Arab Emirates. The race will start and finish during a busy period for international cycling.

The UAE Tour remains the only UCI WorldTour cycling event in the Middle East. Moreover, the race brings elite professional teams to roads across the Emirates. It also highlights the country’s varied terrain, from desert landscapes and coastal roads to demanding mountain finishes.

A key fixture on the WorldTour calendar

The 2027 edition will follow the UAE Tour Women’s race, which the UCI has scheduled for February 3 to 6. Therefore, professional cycling will occupy a prominent place on the UAE’s sporting calendar throughout February.

The men’s race has traditionally featured seven stages. These stages combine sprint opportunities, individual or team time trials, and mountain tests. However, the organisers have not yet published the complete 2027 route. Consequently, specific stage locations, distances, and summit finishes should not yet be treated as confirmed.

Recent editions have taken riders through several emirates. In 2026, the route included Madinat Zayed, Al Hudayriyat Island, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, Dubai, Al Ain, and Abu Dhabi. The final stage finished at the Abu Dhabi Breakwater.

Elite riders expected to target UAE

The UAE Tour regularly attracts leading WorldTour teams and riders. In 2026, the field included Remco Evenepoel, Isaac Del Toro, Lennert Van Eetvelt, Adam Yates, Ben O’Connor, and Antonio Tiberi. Moreover, 145 riders lined up for the opening stage.

For 2027, the confirmed rider list and team lineup have yet to emerge. Nevertheless, the race should again provide an important early-season test for general classification contenders, sprinters, and climbers.

The event is organised by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, while AD Ports Group has been confirmed as a main sponsor through the 2028 edition. Thus, the 2027 UAE Tour will continue to combine international competition with the UAE’s growing role in professional cycling.
