The 14th edition of the Dubai Crown Prince Endurance Cup will be held on January 8, 2022, at the Dubai International Endurance City in Seih Al Salam. The famous race, sponsored by Emirates Airline and held over a distance of 119 kilometers, is organized by Dubai Equestrian Club in collaboration with the UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation.
The race, which is a highlight on the UAE equestrian calendar, attracts top riders and horses. The Dubai Crown Prince Endurance Festival, which includes four endurance rides in four separate categories: the ladies endurance ride, the endurance ride for private stables, the ‘Yamamah’ endurance ride for Mares, and the Dubai Crown Prince Endurance Cup, comes to a close with this event.
Abdullah Ali Al Ameri of F3 Stables on Amira won the Dubai Crown Prince Endurance Cup (2021) in a time of 4.04.54 hours, barely a fraction of a second ahead of first runner-up Suhail Al Ghailani of M7 Stables on Bailan. Hamdan Ahmed Al-Marri rode Shuman T from F3 Stables to third place.
The importance of the high-profile race, which is named after His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and its impact on the sport of endurance riding was underscored by Major General Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, President of the UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation.
Al Raisi was also ecstatic about the high level of interest in endurance sports in the UAE. “The Dubai Crown Prince Endurance Cup has grown into a national event that draws riders from all over the world.” The level of competition is always high, and we are grateful for the UAE’s contribution to its development.”
