The month of January is significant for vegans around the world since it is recognized as ‘Veganuary’ throughout the month and beyond. Expo 2020 Dubai will host the Middle East’s first vegan food festival in January to present cuisines from around the world with a game-changing culinary experience in conjunction with Veganuary and Vegan Days.

Veganuary is a non-profit organization that encourages individuals all around the world to go vegan for the month of January and beyond. Over 500,000 people pledged to try a vegan diet during the 2021 campaign last year, with approximately 825 new vegan goods and meal alternatives created around the world.

The food fair, which will take place at Festival Garden over three weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) from January 14 to 30, will bring together the best plant-based food the region has to offer.

The vegan food festival seeks to bring together the best plant-based cuisine and foodies by offering visitors the opportunity to experience nutritious vegan nibbles with a side of music provided by a wide line-up of DJs.

The Vegan Food Festival will also have an eco-marketplace with sustainable stalls, a vegan and organic spa, entertainment, and chef talks, making it a pleasant and educational day out for friends and families alike.

Veganuary will be observed by restaurants across the Expo 2020 site, including Chuck Chick, Erpingham House, a UK plant-based restaurant, Vegan Dough Co, and Holy Carrot, a UK plant-based restaurant serving Asian-inspired meals using natural ingredients, among others.

During the festival, Alkebulan will host a ten-day pop-up from chef Glory Kabe, and guests can also sign up for vegan baking lessons at Bread Ahead, which will be held throughout January.
