The museum is inviting families to take part in its first Picnic in the Park event which is loaded with children’s activities and picnic hampers. Bringing families and good time together, Louvre Abu Dhabi in the month of January will be hosting a unique event that will see families having a fun day on the grounds of the museum in Saadiyat Island.
The museum is inviting families to take part in its first Picnic in the Park event which is loaded with children’s activities and picnic hampers. Children can enjoy ‘make and play’ activities and can try their hand at painting on an artist’s easel. Taking place on January 15, from 4 PM onwards, the event will host various food stations and children’s arts-and-crafts activities, on the museum’s perfectly manicured grounds.
With families recommended to tuck into the meals amid the palm trees dotting the site, picnic boxes for four people can be ordered from the museum’s Aptitude Cafe or Nectar. Bringing the best of products to make the picnic memorable, the Aptitude Cafe picnic box will contain turkey and cheese sandwiches, a selection of cold cuts, cheese, and crackers, as well as strawberries, grapes, and figs, whereas the Nectar picnic box will have chicken Caesar wraps, quinoa falafel wraps, mini almond flour blueberry, and chocolate chip banana muffins and Medjool dates with almond butter.
Since the picnic boxes are limited, they need to be pre-ordered. For Louvre Abu Dhabi members, boxes have been priced at Dh200 and for non-member, it is priced at Dh300. The ones who do not wish to indulge in food and enjoy the aura can purchase the tickets for Dh20 and Dh30 for members and non-members, respectively.
