The art and cultural center have a particular Saudi character that responds to the passions of the local community and has a national focus on the Quality of Life program. The city’s walls and historical structures strike visitors’ gaze when they enter Jeddah’s historical area from the northern gate near the Al-Bayaa roundabout.

The majority of visitors have the sensation that they are taking a step back in time. They can dwell in the depths of history and consider the lives of those who once lived in the historical era thanks to the site.

Visitors will come across a corner in the historical neighborhood that has been transformed into a daily meeting spot and a cultural salon that promotes cultural, literary, artistic, and heritage information through alleys and hallways.

The Mishraqah Jeddah Al-Balad, located at Bait Alhodaif, was launched this year as part of the area’s Ramadan festival by the Arbab Alheraf, an art and culture center. It is a non-profit art group that houses a 14-room museum. It features art, photography, newspapers, and publications from 1910 to 1980, as well as nostalgic things like Carrom boards, currency, and more.

According to Arbab Alheraf creator Abdullah S. Alhodaif, Mishraqah, which means “shining” in Arabic, is a “unique and real cultural window” that highlights the distinctiveness of Saudi culture through a variety of creative works. It brings together inspirational people to talk about their creative experiences and share them with the rest of the world.

Arbab Alheraf has been a significant cultural and artistic endeavor since its inception. It has a distinct Saudi identity and relates to the enthusiasm of the local community as well as the national focus on the Quality of Life Program.

Further, he stated, it intends to work in accordance with Saudi Vision 2030’s cultural goals. “Since the project’s launch in 2016, the group has adopted a strategy that comprises a bundle of activities and programs to serve as the first foundation of numerous cultural projects.” The project has held approximately 1,300 cultural night events in the last six years.
