I Don’t Wanna Be, I AM, a group exhibition organised by the Ink and Movement is on display at RexRomae (IAM). The exhibition is a traveling display that unites the creations of various artists under one roof, artists who, despite their varied backgrounds and wholly original works, have a broad artistic vision.
It examines the idea of identity in the context of the global art scene and was inspired by the need to approach new protocols, new locations, and new ways of interacting with one another without reluctance within the realm of current production.
Through RexRomae, the exhibition—which has previously traveled to Hamburg, Miami, and Lisbon—now makes its way to Dubai. It features works by Spanish artists Mart Sawe, Misterpiro, Nano4814, Okuda San Miguel, Sabek, Sixe Paredes, and Spok Brillor as well as Argentinian artists Franco Fasoli and Elian Chali.
The result is an exhibition that can be interpreted in many different ways and is accessible to all audiences, giving viewers the chance to reflect on their own and other people’s creative identities.
Till September 20, 2022, the I Don’t Wanna Be, I AM exhibition will be on display.
