The Children and Youth Development Center No. 3 and the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan presented prizes in Abu Dhabi to the United Arab Emirates’ winners of the 4th International Children’s Art Competition, “The Magic of Friendship.”
An award ceremony was organised in this respect at the Azerbaijani Embassy in the United Arab Emirates. Participants in the event included the winning children, parents of the winning students, UAE Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) members, management and teaching staff from “Lubna Bent Hubab” and “Gems Modern Academy” schools, as well as media representatives.
The International Children’s Art Competition “The Magic of Friendship” has been held for six years, with the fourth competition taking place in 2021, according to Mahir Aliyev, the ambassador of Azerbaijan to the UAE, who opened the event.
5 winners came from 2 schools out of 45 participants from various schools in the UAE. Three of them received third place, while two of them took first.
The ambassador emphasised that Azerbaijan’s international tournaments have always sparked a lot of interest in the United Arab Emirates. At the same time, Azerbaijani competitors excelled in numerous international contests conducted in the UAE.
The Azerbaijani Embassy and the organisers of the International Children’s Art Competition “The Magic of Friendship” were thanked for their hospitality by the head of the art department at the “Gems Modern Academy” school, Jignyasa Patel.
Later in the event, the winners were awarded. Medals, diplomas, and presents provided by the Embassy were given to them by the ambassador. Azerbaijan-related video produced by the Baku Media Center has been shown as part of the event.
