The exhibition to take place from September 17th to October 8th.

With ideas centered around the nuances of life, nature, and spirituality, renowned artists Moti Zharotia, Ananda Moy Banerji, Dattatreya Apte, Kavita Nayar, and Sushanta Guha comes together in a one-of-a-kind ongoing group show titled “MARKS.” The show explores how artists’ journey can be learned from the ‘mark’ they make, literally and figuratively, on their medium and the world. The exhibiton will be showcased at The Art Route Gallery in Gurugram from September 17th to October 8th.

“The artist can dig into its vivid dimensions and come up with innumerable possibilities of expressing the same,” says Zarotia.

The groups known in the art world as Multiple Encounters are immersed in numerous projects around the world aiming to create a deeper dialogue in art. ‘Mark’ essential dives into the practices of these artists; spanning from different mediums, themes and approaches to their works.

The show gives the viewers a chance to experience them personally and discover the imprint they leave that sets them apart from others. “A mark is a perceived anomalous sign produced on a surface, resulting from the gestural activity of its maker. Although very different in style, they converge on one point – their unwavering commitment to the development of their craft,” explains art curator Lubna Sen, curator of the exhibition.
