Gulf artists from a range of visual art disciplines will exhibit their work at the forum

The fourth GCC Visual Arts Forum will take place in the UAE from December 20 to 25, according to a Friday announcement by the Ministry of Culture and Youth.

A number of Gulf artists from various visual arts disciplines will participate in the event, which is being organised in collaboration with the Secretariat General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and will take place in Manarat Al Saadiyat in Abu Dhabi.

A concurrent art exhibition will be held in conjunction with it and last until December 30. According to the GCC Cultural Strategy 2020–2030, which was issued on the orders of the GCC countries’ heads of state and ministers of culture, the forum aims to support the artistic talent of GCC artists.

The show, which is also motivated by the event’s tagline, “You and I, what and when?” will serve as a forum to advance the arts and promote the cultural aspirations of the artists. The best three entries in each of the four categories—visual arts, traditional Arabic calligraphy, Arabic calligraphy letters, and photography—will be honoured at the art exhibition.

The event’s schedule also includes a number of technical workshops, cultural excursions, and networking activities to encourage participant knowledge and experience sharing.

The UAE places significant priority on funding creative endeavours, according to Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, Minister of Culture and Youth. The progress and development of art projects are crucial to our mental health.

Such artistic endeavours help to create a fruitful and welcoming environment for other creations, she continued. This event offers a chance to examine the inventiveness of Gulf artists up close. It offers a promising setting for networking, exchanging knowledge, and creating fresh approaches to enhance the arts in the area.

The participating artists’ works are displayed at the art exhibition, which will be judged by a panel of experts based on a theme determined by the host nation. Three works will be chosen for the gold, silver, and bronze awards based on a set of criteria.

Please visit the UAE Ministry of Culture and Youth’s official website if you want to take part in the exhibition.
