Jyo John Mulloor only needed a digital screen and a pen to create snow in the United Arab Emirates. The digital artist, who was inspired by a dream, has depicted the UAE in four different settings, including ‘Let It Snow’ snow-covered, ‘Let It Bloom’ lush flora, a Martian city, and even Pandora (a futuristic city in James Cameron’s Avatar).

If you look closely, everything is based on the colors of the flag of the UAE. You’ll notice that the white represents snow in Dubai, the red represents Dubai on Mars or “Emartia,” which was inspired by the UAE Mars Mission, and the green represents the UAE in the spring when it is full of green trees, which was determined by the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan. James Cameron’s Avatar served as an inspiration for the color black.

Mulloor’s year-long project is a “tribute” intended to show his love for the nation. The artist, who has lived abroad for more than ten years, first posted his depictions of the UAE for entertainment purposes. Little did he anticipate that his posts would gain him a following on social media.

The digital visualizer said: “When I first started on the snow project, I initially gave up on the project three or four times. I persisted, though, and I finally finished my first image in three weeks.”

The exciting project will be made available to you on November 3rd, UAE Flag Day 2022. “People can obtain the NFTs from each of the four flag colors.

In the future, Mulloor “has plans to introduce Emartia to the metaverse in the future. The overall strategy is to launch more NFTs that include different seasons in Emartia.”
