The Middle East’s most anticipated design festival, Dubai Design Week, underlines Dubai’s status as the region’s design hub and announces its cultural presence in the design world. The prestigious design event, held in conjunction with Dubai Design District (d3), offers a window into the growth of design in the region through exhibitions, installations, contests, talks, and workshops spanning all creative disciplines.
The region’s top design fair, Dubai Design Week, a subsidiary of TECOM Group PJSC and supported by Dubai Culture, will be held in Dubai, the vibrant capital of the United Arab Emirates, from November 9 to November 13, 2022. The Waterfront Terrace at d3, a regional center for art, design, fashion, and architecture, is the venue for the ninth version of this important commercial event of the design week. “We established a precedent this year for Dubai’s rapidly expanding design and architecture community.
The experience of Dubai Design Week transcends other fairs, paying homage to Dubai’s expanding economy and impact on the region’s burgeoning design sector. The expo develops as a quality display, featuring presentations from producers, studios, and individual designers from many nations, as well as from internationally famous brands. Architecture and interior design professionals, developers and hoteliers, collectors, and design enthusiasts are just a few of the many audiences that Dubai Design Week 2022 draws from across the design communities and industries.
“Dubai’s profile and role in the global design sector continue to grow thanks to its designation as a UNESCO Creative City of Design. According to Khadija Al Bastaki, vice president of Dubai Design District, “Highly anticipated events like Downtown Design certainly play a fundamental role in elevating this profile and showcasing the wealth of creative talent in our district and the wider region.”
