The largest outdoor fine arts and cultural festival in the nation, the Ras Al Khaimah Fine Arts Festival, will return on February 3 and continue through the end of the month.
The free festival, with a focus on nature, will be held in Al Jazirah Al Hamra, a former pearling settlement. It will feature a range of perspectives from creatives from all around the world in an immersive celebration of arts, culture, and legacy.
The artwork of artists will emphasise nature in addition to Ras Al Khaimah’s rich cultural legacy and its efforts to protect the environment for a sustainable future.
Over the duration of the festival, more than 120 artists from 35 different nations will show their work, so attendees can anticipate a variety of fun and interesting activities.
A variety of cultural partners, including the Marinko Sudac Foundation, the US Mission to the UAE, the Embassy of the Kingdom of Netherlands in Abu Dhabi, the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Dubai, the Consulate General of France in Dubai, and Flick Cameras, will collaborate on the event, which will feature six art exhibitions.
Immersive culinary experiences, historical lectures, pet-related events, thematic weekend programmes, art workshops, musical performances, film screenings, and more are also on the schedule.
A dog-friendly weekend with an artwork tour with dogs, pet adoption from the Ras Al Khaimah Animal Welfare Center, a dog fashion and talent contest, a falcon show, and pet training and education is one of the themed weeks scheduled during the month of February.
On February 24 and 25, there will also be a Cultural Weekend honouring the UAE’s varied and rich past, which will feature gahwa (Arabic coffee), the creation of Emirati scents, camel rides, shawl embroidery, and more.
