The 16th Dubai International Horse Fair (DIHF) and 17th Dubai International Arabian Horse Championship are running simultaneously at Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) from the 18th-20th March. The events bring together Equestrian industry buyers, horse-loving families, aspiring riders and international artists.
DIHF is gathering a diverse range of global industry leaders and creators bringing together international equestrian brands, sculptors and advanced equine medicine experts.
The event is held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance. DIHF 2021 opened on 18th March 2021, and has already provided a much-needed meeting point for the equestrian industry as well as a fun family outing, following a year that was defined by virtual interaction and missed business opportunities.
The Dubai International Arabian Horse Championship is a showcase and competition of the heritage, beauty and agility of the world’s finest Arabian horses. The event will be held over three days and offers prize money of US$4 million.
The DIHF event hosts the finest breeds of horses in the world, as well as renowned brands specializing in state-of-the-art stables, feed, riding apparel and the latest equine products and horse therapies including Al Khail Equestrian Equipment, Nutriscience and Aayan Equestrian Clubas well as a leading selection of international equestrian artists.
Day 1 visitors of DIHF 2021 enjoyed the fun range of family-friendly features on offer at the show.
Day 2 visitors were able to experience a variety of attractions; young animal lovers enjoyed free pony riding from 2-3pm and 7pm-8pm; the Dubai Police K9 dog unit gave a stunt performance from 3.30-4.15pm and from 5pm-6pm; the painting on canvas workshop took place from 3.30-7pm while the all-new horse trick riding show, featuring mind-blowing skill, enthralled viewers from 4.15-5pm and 6-7pm.
On Day 3, 70 Arabian horse breeds of best-in-class pedigree from local studs will be up for sale at the Horse Auction for Arabian purebred horses. Held from 11am to 7pm, the auction will gather qualified prospective regional buyers.
Art lovers will be spoiled for choice with a range of activities and performances on Saturday; from 11am-1pm, visitors can witness a mesmerizing live Calligraphy Performance; Art Workshops will be hosted from 11am-2pm and 3-4pm and the Plant & Paint the Pot workshop will be hosted from 5-7pm.
Meanwhile, the equestrian-themed Art Gallery is showcasing creative brilliance from artists from across the world; the Heritage Village is delving into the UAE’s rich association with horses as well as providing a glimpse into Dubai’s maritime history, while young horse lovers can enjoy the petting zoo.

The Dubai International Horse Fair 2021 is currently being held in Za’abeel Hall 6 at Dubai World Trade Centre. Opening hours are 11am–8 pm on 20th March. Admission is free of charge and open to trade visitors and the general public. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
