Delta Hotels by Marriott Dubai implements sustainable practices

Delta Hotels by Marriott in Dubai Investment Park is leading in sustainable hospitality practices by implementing several initiatives to support UAE’s President, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s declaration of 2023 as the “Year of Sustainability”.

One of the hotel’s latest efforts includes transforming part of its terrace into a fresh fruit and vegetable garden, which grows produce such as tomatoes and bell peppers. These new products will be used in the kitchen to prepare eco-friendly and sustainable meals for guests. By doing so, the hotel impacts the environment positively and provides guests with a ‘farm-to-table’ dining experience.

In addition to the garden, the hotel has also partnered with AirOWater to convert humidity in the air into sustainable drinking water for guests. Using Atmospheric Water Generators, the initiative intends to tackle the global shortage of clean drinking water while replacing plastic with a sustainable solution.

The hotel’s commitment to sustainability extends beyond food and water initiatives, as seen in their use of scrap metal to create an art installation Christmas tree during the festive season. The hotel also provides access to popular publications through an online PressReader application featuring newspapers and magazines and will implement iPad check-ins in Q2 of this year.

Director of Operations for Delta Hotels by Marriott in Dubai Investment Park, Hazem El-Kadi, stated, “We are thrilled to implement these sustainable initiatives and do our part to support President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s call for 2023 to be the ‘Year of Sustainability’. We believe that sustainable practices are essential for the future of our planet and are committed to doing our part to create a more sustainable future for all.”

Delta Hotels by Marriott in Dubai Investment Park is proud to lead the way in sustainable hospitality practices and continues to explore new ways to reduce its environmental impact. With over 100 locations globally, Delta Hotels by Marriott focuses on delivering simple, streamlined service and intuitively designed rooms to provide a seamless travel experience.
