Born in 1998, professional realistic artist Rawa’a Altartour’s artworks are a blend of human and animal figures with nature elements, attracting several worldwide collectors. Specializing in pencils and oil paintings, her passion for art started at a young age, when she participated in several schools and local art competitions after her first year of school. Her love for art grew stronger as a teenager, and she decided to pursue a career in the arts. “I believe that capturing a likeness is like having a superpower! People won’t look twice at a photo, but a painting can bring them to tears,” says artist Rawa’a Altartour.
After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in interior design from Abu Dhabi University in 2021, Rawa’a managed to accomplish several high-level projects based on deep research and attention to detail, which qualified her among a few students to graduate with honours in university senior year. With her strong design sense and space-planning skills, she brings a unique perspective to her artwork. Rawa’a’s artworks are mainly realistic, and she loves experimenting with new materials and techniques, always striving to create her own original unique art pieces.
The ability of Rawa’a Altartour to capture a likeness is her main focus, managing to create mesmerizing and emotional artworks that leave a lasting impact on her audience. During her college years, Rawa’a began participating in international art exhibitions in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, where she was fortunate enough to sell some of her artworks to collectors worldwide. Right after graduating, Rawa’a worked as a site engineer while teaching adults and young people part-time as an artist.
