Art is one of the most important ways to embrace the culture of an area or country. Therefore, art has contended a really vital role throughout history. once talking about art, the primary issue that involves most individuals’s mind is perhaps that art may be a painting or it’s a sculpture. However, art has several kinds of expression, and it closely connects to human’s existence. Besides paintings and sculptures, art is everywhere around us. i’m forever curious about how people have joined art with daily life throughout history. For this reason, the 2 items of design I chose from my visit to the depository of Fine Arts are each objects which will be utilized in everyday life though art from different cultures, have different creating processes, and have different purpose in how artists tried to apply art using different techniques to human’s daily life.
Tetyana Bibik is a Canadian artist specialised in various fields of art like Fine art using luxury materials to create modern and contemporary custom artwork. Specialising in pop art paintings, abstract art paintings for interior design and home decor, portraits in all styles, and mural artwork. When asked what her artworks aim to say, she says, “My artwork is a reflection of who I am. I love it to be modern, different, and to stand out, and that’s my main focus apart from making each piece custom to my vision. I want my artwork to show my creativity in each piece, especially with my pop art. I spend a lot of time developing and creating an idea which will continue to reveal something new each time someone is viewing the painting. I accentuate my paintings further by making them stand out with a heavy gloss varnish, a 3D texture, reflections from different angles created using 24k Gold accents or Swarovski crystals. I want my paintings to be creative, original, powerful and have a sense of luxury, to represent my style on canvas.”
She follows the trends heavy metallic, using rich golds, coppers and silvers. She started adding more and more textures to my abstract work using metallic colours and have discovered new palette combinations and enjoyed creating new pieces which are quite modern and elegant. She is very proud that something she created from her mind can make a complete stranger have such emotions. During the pandemic she started painting many masks for front line workers and anyone that wanted to brighten up their mask with custom designs during such an odd time in the world. Tetyana’s favourite artist is Pablo Picasso, one of his greatest sayings is, “Everything you can imagine is real” and is one of the most inspiring quotes, something one needs to hear. According to Tatyana, the importance of art for a student is, Art is a fun and challenging subject and there are endless ways to understand it. She studied business at Western University, but she found her passion in art, realising that art is her business, and has to be a part of her everyday life. However, in her opinion art is in technology, it is in science, math, geography, history and medicine. “Whatever anyone chooses to do it is a form of its own art.” Her greatest inspiration is her mother who taught her the importance of self discipline. Her message to the fellow artist buddies is, “Every style is beautiful, and every artist is beautiful. My message is to always always remain true to yourself and do what you love. There will always be people criticizing, judging, and saying negative comments about your work. Don’t ever change your style to fit the likes of others, instead focus on making work which is a reflection of your true self, and the hard work will always triumph.” Something we all needed to hear.
