Bringing the celebration of London’s culinary melting pot, the newly created Mina’s Market by British Chef, Nick Alvis is serving up your favourite tastes of British culinary delights.

Running every week from 6:30 pm – 10:30 pm from Wednesday, October 11th British chef Nick Alvis and the team behind Mina’s Kitchen at Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort and Marina have masterminded an authentic experience and a taste of London’s Borough Market.

A vibrant British Brasserie atmosphere where market-style stalls are set up offering spreads of classic British hearty staples from short crust pastry pies to the thick, creamy curries like Chicken Tikka Masala – British style, fresh meat and fish and of course desserts that scream “just one more bite!”.

From the London Pie Shop, diners can enjoy a selection of six different savoury pies, that offer the comfort and warmth of home, such as braised beef cheek, creamed chicken, leek and bacon, and steamed lamb shoulder, doused in liquor gravies and perfectly matched with creamy English mustard, Garden herb and Champ mash potato.

True to its Borough Market inspiration, diners can expect an aesthetic of vintage market-style wooden cart displays at The Bakery with open baskets filled with freshly baked bread loafs, pretzels and baguettes that send out a perfectly balanced cracker-like, toasted aroma as you step through the entrance. Sat next to the flour dusted loafs are stacks of fluffy, sugared and glazed doughnuts, pretty summer fruit tarts and pastries, rows of deliciously gooey brownies and towers of chocolate profiteroles that beckon.

The Modern Butcher’s and Fresh Fish Market is an extensive selection of meats displayed for you to choose and served to you at your table, with cuts of sirloin, short rib wagyu, rib eye and top rump, lamb cutlets, and country style sausages, while the fresh seafood station has prime cuts of tuna steaks, salmon filets, swordfish, prawns and Dibba Bay oysters that are effortlessly shucked in front of you.

Mina’s British Balti House serves up an aromatic spice journey of British-style Chicken Tikka Masala, steaming hot samosas, paneer curries, sweet caramelized onion bhaji’s and the all-important snapping poppadoms with sticky chutney sides. Next to the Balti House is the London Levant Kebab Shop, where you’ll find grilled lamb doner kebabs with pocket pita breads and an array of spicy sauces, pickled relishes and onions to top. Delish.

Classic British-style shop fronts and signage with fresh flower stalls bring bursts of colour with the open display boxes of fresh fruits and veggies that transcend you to the feeling of British Spring time. From the Farm Fresh station indulge in honey-glazed carrots, green beans tossed in roasted garlic, and farm-fresh crunchy gem lettuce salads with honey, walnut, and wholegrain English mustard.

The selection of hard and soft cheeses at Mina’s Yard makes for tough decisions, or better yet, bigger plates. Enjoyed with cured pork cuts, plump grapes, and chutney jams, the selection of English, Italian and French cheeses are the perfect sweet-savoury ending.

Chef Nick Alvis said “Following the success of The Roast by Bubbalicious, Mina’s Market is a second British culinary offering at Mina’s Kitchen. We’re bringing the same high-standard of British food and delicacies, mixed with the nostalgic feeling and experience that you get when visiting traditional UK food markets”

Mina’s Kitchen with its distinctive, high ceilings, is adorned with colonial-style décor that delivers an airy, but warm welcome to guests. The island bar sat in the center of the restaurant overlooks the entertainment space and is the perfect spot to sip on the exclusive English sparkling wine, Chapel Down. Starting at AED 250 per person with soft drinks, beverage packages are available for AED 350 with house pairing, and AED 450 for sparkling with Chapel Down. Children 6+ AED 99.
