Daniela Nondedeu, born in Coronel Dorrego, Argentine Republic in November 1971, is a multifaceted artist whose journey weaves through various artistic disciplines, showcasing a lifelong dedication to creativity. From a young age, she displayed a natural inclination for drawing, design, and the plastic arts, creating her own games and expressions of artistic imagination. Her early exploration extended into diverse artistic disciplines, including guitar, choral singing, theatre, and ceramics, indicating a broad and rich artistic foundation.
In 1991, Daniela Nondedeu relocated to Asunción, Paraguay, where she pursued her studies in Graphic Design at the Catholic University. Her professional journey led her to work independently in various creative domains, including brand and editorial design, interior design, and event decoration. In 2003, she expanded her artistic repertoire by publishing a collection of poems titled “My Roots, My Affections,” presenting her work in both Paraguay and her hometown in Argentina.
Nondedeu’s journey took a significant turn in 2017 when she began painting professionally. In 2018, she made the decision to fully dedicate herself to art, leveraging her knowledge of design, digital design, and various expressive techniques. Her main thematic focus revolves around faces, drawing inspiration from collage and the fusion of images and realities. Particularly captivated by looks and the complexities of the feminine image, she has developed her own technique called “Arttela – Collage,” often utilizing recycled textiles and drawing inspiration from mosaic art.
Her commitment to the art community is evident through her participation in various exhibitions and talks. She shared her insights into the development of her technique during a talk within the cycle of discussions on the frontiers of design at ISBA in October 2019. Nondedeu’s passion for creation extends beyond painting; she also explores sculpture and other mixed media, showcasing her versatility and eagerness to explore different avenues of artistic expression.
