He started The Gravity series which he did blind folded. Using the eye of the unconscious, The Gravity series, and part of a moment in the Connection series, were all the sketches made with the eyes of the unconscious. He did not allow himself to look at the screens; they were all created with eyes closed, considering only two things: the force of gravity pulling him towards the earth and the force of believing, the imaginary pulling him towards the sky, upwards.
“My main element conceptually is what I call ‘revealing the true feeling’. What do we hide among so many layers of our expressions and interactions with the world? I often delve into myself and others, watching, and our connections to these feelings”, he says. When he was thirteen, he started playing guitar and the need to create sensations and feelings were always there in him. Only the materials and shapes changed, but the need to create something magnificent has always been constant for him, the hustle and the obligation kept him going.
His message to the fellow artists is that we only have today, and that no matter how hard it is to live in art in the world if you love art, do not waste any minute doing something that is not art. As the philosopher Marco Aurelio says, “we only have today, and we have to give the best and live the best today.” He quotes, “Art is always for the future. Like philosophy, if we can study, try to understand art, we will have a broader vision of living in this world”. His greatest inspiration is philosophical positions, theological and social concepts, images of people, paintings, sculptures, design, music, he experiments everything with the senses, studies on psychoanalysis, artistic concepts from Gormley, Cai Qiang, Carl Andre, Richard Serra, Olafur, among others.
Art possesses some capability to elicit a way of delight in the viewer. Although, what is considered pleasing to one’s eye might vary depending on the viewer, given the large choice of mediums and strategies for the style of art, there is probably going to be some kind of art that will charm each person.
