Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg recently sparked excitement with a social media post featuring an extraordinary 7-foot-tall statue of his wife, Priscilla Chan. Daniel Arsham, the acclaimed New York-based artist, created the statue, which Zuckerberg unveiled in an Instagram photo on Wednesday. Positioned next to a tree in what seems to be a lush garden, the sculpture has captured the attention of both fans and art enthusiasts.

In his Instagram post, Zuckerberg revealed the striking artwork, which features Chan in a flowing silver garment that combines elements of ancient Roman sculpture with a futuristic twist reminiscent of the T-1000 character from “Terminator 2.” The unique design has led to numerous online comparisons to characters from James Cameron’s “Avatar” and fueled playful commentary about Zuckerberg’s dedication to his wife, often dubbed the ultimate “wife guy” in jest.

Chan joined the conversation with a humorous comment, saying, “The more of me the better?” She also noted that the statue’s distinctive look, with its reflective silver robe and bluish-green base, resembles a modern, polished version of the oxidized copper seen in the Statue of Liberty. Zuckerberg explained that he drew inspiration for this grand sculpture from Roman traditions and captioned the photo, “bringing back the Roman tradition of making sculptures of your wife.”

Zuckerberg and Chan first crossed paths in 2003 during their time at Harvard University. Since their marriage in 2012, they have expanded their family with three daughters.

Daniel Arsham, known for his innovative approach to “fictional archaeology” through sculpture, architecture, and film, continues to push artistic boundaries. His most recent exhibition, “Phases,” was showcased at Fotografiska New York earlier this year. Despite his acclaim, Arsham faced controversy last month when employees of his studio accused him of violating national labor laws, as detailed in a complaint filed with the National Labor Relations Board.

The unveiling of the statue not only highlights Arsham’s artistic vision but also underscores Zuckerberg’s commitment to celebrating personal milestones in a highly public and artistic manner.
