The L’ÉCOLE Festival has opened at Dubai Design District (d3), bringing together jewelry enthusiasts, families, and students for a two-day event focused on craftsmanship, creativity, and education. Organized by L’ÉCOLE Middle East, School of Jewelry Arts, and supported by Van Cleef & Arpels, the festival aims to highlight the art and history of jewelry-making while offering interactive experiences for visitors.
The festival, hosted in collaboration with d3, features a series of workshops, discussions, and exhibits designed to explore different aspects of jewelry arts. Sophie Claudel, Director of L’ÉCOLE Middle East, emphasized the festival’s role in making jewelry education more accessible.
“The L’ÉCOLE Festival is a celebration of everything we stand for at L’ÉCOLE – sharing knowledge, inspiring creativity, and building community. By opening our doors to the public in such a dynamic and joyful way, we hope to engage families, students, and jewelry enthusiasts alike, creating unforgettable moments and sparking new passions for the jewelry arts,” she said.
Khadija Al Bastaki, Senior Vice President of d3, part of TECOM Group, highlighted the festival’s relevance within Dubai’s creative industries.

Exploring Jewelry Arts Through Interactive Experiences
The festival features a range of activities designed to engage visitors of all ages. Attendees can explore L’ÉCOLE’s three core disciplines—Art History, Savoir-Faire, and Gemology—through interactive displays and workshops that provide insight into the craftsmanship behind fine jewelry.
Children aged 6 to 16 years can participate in creative workshops introducing them to the fundamentals of jewelry design. Experts are also leading discussions on the history of jewelry, gemology, and craftsmanship, offering visitors a deeper understanding of the field.
A curated outdoor cinema, presented in collaboration with Cinema Akil, is screening films that highlight the role of jewelry in storytelling and design.
A dedicated exhibition space showcases L’ÉCOLE’s collaborations with Dubai Culture & Arts Authority, Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation, Dubai Cares, the UAE French Embassy, and other organizations, reflecting the school’s commitment to education and cultural partnerships.
An Addition to Dubai’s Cultural Calendar
With a focus on education and artistic appreciation, the L’ÉCOLE Festival offers a platform for visitors to explore the world of jewelry arts. Open to both residents and visitors, the event aims to engage a wide audience, from students to professionals in the creative industry.
The festival runs until February 15, 2025, at Dubai Design District (d3), near Building 10, from 12 PM to 10 PM.
