Art Basel has announced the full list of exhibitors for its 55th edition, set to take place from June 19 to 22, 2025, at Messe Basel in Switzerland. Also, under the leadership of Maike Cruse, this year’s event will feature 291 galleries from 42 countries, with a mix of returning powerhouses and new participants.

A key addition to the 2025 fair is the introduction of the Premiere sector, dedicated to ultra-contemporary artworks created within the past five years. This section will showcase 10 galleries, each presenting works by up to three artists.

Among the participants:

  • Chapter NY will exhibit photochemical paintings by Antonia Kuo and ceramic works by Erin Jane Nelson.
  • Magician Space from Beijing will showcase Liu Ding’s installation Survivors, which reflects on trauma.
  • Edel Assanti from London, making its Art Basel debut, will highlight Lonnie Holley’s multi-medium practice.

Newcomers and Industry Heavyweights

This year’s edition features a mix of first-time exhibitors and established industry leaders across multiple sections.

New exhibitors in the Galleries sector include:

  • Arcadia Missa
  • François Ghebaly
  • Anat Ebgi
  • Polka Galerie
  • Fanta-MLN

They will present alongside returning major galleries such as:

  • Pace Gallery
  • Gagosian
  • Hauser & Wirth
  • David Zwirner
  • White Cube
  • Marian Goodman Gallery

The Parcours section, themed Second Nature, will return with site-specific installations throughout Basel. Additionally, Messeplatz will be transformed by a large-scale spray-paint installation from acclaimed German artist Katharina Grosse.

Also, Maike Cruse stated that the 2025 edition will showcase a diverse range of extraordinary artworks, encourage international dialogue, and reinforce Art Basel’s status as one of the most influential events on the global art calendar.
