Jess Bell is an American artist who follows the trends of photo-realistic art. She enjoys painting realistic seascapes and has been practicing art since she could remember.

Jess took every art class in high school that built her foundation and propelled her to go on to a university specializing in art. Later, she decided to become a teacher and only got the time to paint in her free time. It was in her final year of graduation that she was able to rediscover her passion through oil painting.

In the following years, art had taken a backseat for Jess as she attended to her other responsibilities of looking after her very young children. However, in 2019 she finally decided to get back to her passion and started painting again. She presented her artwork in two art walks in shore towns which was a pleasant new experience. Now her work hangs in a beautifully curated shore town gallery that has many local coastal seemed artists.

Jess loves the fact that people choose her art to hang in their homes out of the numerous beautiful paintings in the world. “It always makes me feel extremely proud that somebody else sees value in what I am creating and wants to hang it on their walls and look at it every day!”, she says.

Art has a lot of scientific elements of cause and effect. Jess specifically observes this as she watches her kids create with little directions and finds it amazing how they are able to create such different pieces with the same theme or tools. It’s truly phenomenal how the same medium can produce widely contrasting products through art.

It is vital to find an audience that genuinely enjoys your artwork. Her greatest inspiration is her family and nature. Her message to other artists is to always keep painting or creating! “Even if it is only 15-20 minutes a day, keep painting”, she says.
