Rimowa has reimagined one of its most iconic designs from 1988 with the launch of its Holiday Collection, bringing back a sense of nostalgia and colorful flair to modern travel.
Rimowa: A Tribute to Vintage Travel
Originally called “the suitcase for young people,” the Holiday Case embraces the expressive freedom of the late 1980s. Available in red, yellow, and blue, the collection exudes a playful charm while maintaining Rimowa’s signature quality. Each piece includes a white leather-stamped luggage tag, TSA-approved lock, dual-organization interior, and a lightweight polycarbonate shell.
Unlike contemporary designs, these cases lack wheels and are meant to be carried by hand or worn with an adjustable crossbody strap, embracing a pre-iPhone, pre-rolling suitcase era of travel.
Merging Past and Present
The collection’s campaign merges vintage aesthetics with modern sensibilities. It features travelers admiring original 1988 promotional imagery, evoking a timeless longing for adventure.
