The Coca-Cola Arena, the Middle East’s premier indoor entertainment and sporting venue, is celebrating a groundbreaking chapter in UAE sports history. As the official anchor tenant, Dubai Basketball has completed its debut ABA League season, drawing over 61,000 fans and setting the stage for its first-ever playoff appearance on Sunday, May 11, against Cedevita Olimpija.

The arena has hosted a dynamic nine-month campaign that welcomed 5,700 international fans, affirming Dubai’s growing status as a global hub for sports tourism. The team’s inaugural season also saw over 200,000 visits to the official website, alongside sales of more than 12,000 merchandise items, underscoring the surge in digital engagement and local support.
Transforming Dubai into a Basketball Powerhouse
The historic decision to designate Dubai Basketball as Coca-Cola Arena’s anchor tenant has redefined the city’s sports landscape. By bringing top-tier European teams like Partizan and Crvena Zvezda to Dubai, the team provided local fans with direct access to elite international basketball—fueling aspirations to enter the prestigious EuroLeague.
“Dubai Basketball’s playoff success in their debut season marks a major milestone, not just for the team, but for the growth of professional sports entertainment in the region,” said Mark Jan Kar, General Manager of Coca-Cola Arena. “It’s a powerful endorsement of Dubai’s market potential, fan enthusiasm, and the experiential value of high-performance sports.”
To support this vision, Coca-Cola Arena invested heavily in world-class infrastructure, including a FIBA-compliant court, custom LED displays, broadcast-grade AV systems, and team-exclusive facilities—setting a new regional benchmark for professional basketball experiences.
Elevating Fan Engagement and Community Impact
Beyond thrilling on-court performances, the season was defined by unparalleled fan engagement. Founding Season Pass holders enjoyed premium perks such as priority game access, reserved seating, fast-track entry, exclusive meet-and-greets, and merchandise discounts—creating a vibrant home game atmosphere week after week.
The team also made a deep impact off the court. Over 20,000 school students attended games throughout the season, while community outreach included 16 school visits and two charity events, reinforcing Dubai Basketball’s commitment to youth empowerment and inclusion. Notably, initiatives with Falcons Academy and Heroes of Hope gave students and People of Determination opportunities to connect with players and enjoy unforgettable game-day experiences.
One City, One Team: A Playoff Journey Begins
As Dubai Basketball enters its historic playoff debut, Coca-Cola Arena remains the pulse of the team’s journey—bringing fans together, amplifying unforgettable moments, and celebrating the spirit of sport. With the playoffs approaching, fans are urged to secure their tickets, get official merchandise, and be part of this defining chapter in Dubai’s basketball story.
