J Balvin has introduced his first electric motorcycle, created through a collaboration between his creative agency, VVT (Vita Veloce Team), and French manufacturer DAB Motors. The striking one-of-one motorcycle debuted during his 40th birthday celebration—a casino-themed event held in Tuscany’s vineyards. While the guest list included stars like Daddy Yankee, Sofia Vergara, and Zion, the real highlight was the bright-red, electric motorcycle crafted in secret by his team.
Designed by Balvin and Mattias Gollin alongside Simon Dabadie of DAB Motors, the project had been kept under wraps. “He knew the DAB x VVT bike was coming,” shared Gollin and Dabadie. “But he had no idea when it would be ready. We kept the manufacturing of the motorcycle completely secret. Rolling it out at Castello di Velona, surrounded by friends—that moment felt special.”
High-Concept Meets High-Performance
Built on DAB’s 1α platform, the motorcycle combines futuristic design and performance. Fully enclosed wheels, a sleek windshield, and a deep matte red body create a cinematic presence. The bike also features all-over graphic sticker decorations, invoking a visual style reminiscent of Japanese anime.
AI-powered design tools and 3D modeling enabled the prototype’s creation in just three weeks. Gollin and Dabadie described the final result as “part sculpture, part anime, and fully rideable.”
Technically, the two-seater model reaches a top speed of 130 km/hr. Charging from zero to 100% takes three hours and 30 minutes, and it supports both home sockets and Type 2 stations. The sensory design extends beyond visuals. Sound-absorbing foam on the wheel covers generates a unique low-frequency tone, while LED light strips embedded in the wheels offer an atmospheric glow.
A Dream on Two Wheels
“It’s cinematic, but functional, we wanted to build something that felt like riding through a dream,” said Gollin and Dabadie.
