Tesla has unveiled its first diner and drive-in experience in West Hollywood, combining its signature innovation with nostalgic flair. Located on the legendary Route 66, the new Tesla Diner redefines the roadside pit stop. Featuring 80 V4 Supercharger stalls—the most at any urban site globally—it blends rapid EV charging with classic Americana, all wrapped in a futuristic aesthetic.
The sleek two-story building spans 9,300 square feet and houses over 250 seats. While designed by global firm Stantec, the architectural inspiration draws heavily from mid-century modern diners. Its curved metallic exteriors, neon highlights, and glass façades evoke both retro charm and a forward-looking vision. Open 24/7, the space invites Tesla drivers and city dwellers to linger longer, whether to recharge their vehicle or enjoy rooftop views from the Skypad terrace.
Entertainment Meets Charging Convenience
Adding to its appeal, the Tesla Diner offers two massive 20-meter LED megascreens designed for movie nights and drive-in entertainment. Moreover, the ordering process merges technology and comfort. Guests can choose to dine inside or place orders through their Tesla vehicle’s touchscreen, with food delivered directly to their car window.
The menu, curated by chef Eric Greenspan, includes diner classics such as smash burgers, hot dogs, and chicken and waffles. For those with a sweet tooth, hand-spun milkshakes are also available. To elevate the experience further, meals arrive in distinctive Cybertruck-inspired packaging, reinforcing the brand’s futuristic identity.
A Multifunctional Destination with Sustainability in Mind
Although the diner’s primary function supports EV charging, it extends beyond utility. Guests can browse a selection of exclusive Tesla merchandise, including a Tesla Bot action figure, branded apparel, and themed confections. Additionally, solar canopies cover the west-side charging bays, helping to offset an estimated 12 million kilograms of CO₂ annually.
With its layered amenities, the Tesla Diner transforms the typical charging stop into a vibrant lifestyle destination. It appeals not only to Tesla owners but also to architecture lovers, food enthusiasts, and visitors seeking a unique Los Angeles experience.
