TOMBOGO has partnered with HUF to launch a vibrant new version of its popular PocketCam. The collaborative model arrives in a translucent green finish and features a fresh selection of 15 custom filters. With this release, the Bay Area-based brand continues to push the boundaries of creative utility, merging minimal aesthetics with nostalgic function. First released in fall, the PocketCam gained quick recognition for its simplicity—focused on just two tasks: capturing photos and shooting video.
In addition to the updated filters, the HUF x TOMBOGO edition introduces a built-in MP3 player and a handful of mini-games. Despite its small size, the camera delivers a retro-meets-modern feel that taps into the playful spirit of early 2000s tech. Functionally, it retains its core structure but receives a vibrant visual and experiential upgrade that aligns with HUF’s streetwear roots.
Skater heritage fuels a full-circle moment
Tommy Bogo, the creative force behind TOMBOGO, sees the collaboration as more than a product release. “This is more than just a collaboration – this is a full-circle moment,” he shared. As a teenager, Bogo spent his days skating with friends, drawing early inspiration from brands like HUF. Now, having transitioned into a designer, he finds personal significance in joining forces with a brand that once shaped his creative identity.
“Before I was a designer, I skated almost every day with my friends. It was brands like HUF that actually inspired me to create TOMBOGO,” he said. “My teenage self would have never imagined that one day I’d be collaborating with brands I was influenced by, like HUF.”
Launch details and availability
The TOMBOGO x HUF PocketCam will be available starting August 7 through TOMBOGO’s official webstore. Given the popularity of both brands and the nostalgia-driven appeal of the PocketCam, strong demand is anticipated. With its bold new look and enhanced features, the camera stands as both a design object and a nod to shared creative histories.
