Bugatti and Jacob & Co. have once again combined hypercar innovation with luxury watchmaking through the launch of the Bugatti Tourbillon and Bugatti Tourbillon Baguette. Both models draw inspiration from Bugatti’s latest hypercar, reflecting its engineering precision and mechanical artistry. The design incorporates advanced features that highlight a shared pursuit of technical excellence and visual drama.
The Bugatti Tourbillon reinterprets the hypercar’s dashboard, integrating Jacob & Co.’s fastest-ever 30-second flying tourbillon on the left of the dial. Alongside it, a central hour-and-minute subdial and an 80-hour power reserve indicator enhance functionality. However, the most striking element is a sapphire-crystal engine block automaton with 16 titanium pistons driven by a 22.37 mm crankshaft. At the push of a button, the pistons spring into motion, echoing the performance of Bugatti’s V16 engine.
Precision Engineering Meets Artistic Design
Encased in a 52 x 44 mm case, the Bugatti Tourbillon mirrors the car’s styling cues, featuring grille-like details, aerodynamic contours and sapphire “windows” that offer a view of the intricate movement. For collectors seeking the ultimate expression of exclusivity, the Bugatti Tourbillon Baguette elevates the concept further. It showcases 328 baguette-cut diamonds, 18 rubies and an 18K white gold case, combining technical mastery with high-jewelry aesthetics. Limited to just 18 pieces worldwide, this edition reaffirms Jacob & Co.’s commitment to creating timepieces of exceptional rarity and craftsmanship.
Pushing Boundaries in Watchmaking
“Together, Bugatti and Jacob & Co. push the boundaries of engineering and artistry,” said Wiebke Ståhl, Managing Director at Bugatti International. “Each piece is a masterpiece designed to endure for generations.” These timepieces embody a vision where mechanical complexity and aesthetic brilliance coexist, ensuring they stand as symbols of innovation for discerning collectors around the globe.
