The 2025 Goodwood Revival, set for September 12–14, will showcase five legendary BMW Art Cars in a special display at the Earls Court Motor Show. This highlight forms part of the BMW Art Car World Tour, celebrating 50 years of this unique fusion of motorsport and contemporary art.
A Global Celebration of Art and Engineering
The BMW Art Car program began in 1975 and has since produced 20 “rolling sculptures”, designed by world-renowned artists such as Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Jeff Koons, and David Hockney. At Goodwood, fans can experience this creative dialogue between design and performance firsthand.
Featured Masterpieces on Display
Among the five showcased cars are:
- David Hockney’s 1995 BMW 850 CSi, painted with bold strokes to reveal the car’s “inner spirit”
- Frank Stella’s 1976 BMW 3.0 CSL, a geometric tribute to precision
- Roy Lichtenstein’s 1977 BMW 320i Turbo, with comic-inspired graphics
- Ernst Fuchs’ 1982 BMW 635 CSi, blending mysticism with motion
- Jeff Koons’ 2010 BMW M3 GT2, a vibrant explosion of color evoking pure speed
Each car reflects its artist’s distinct vision while preserving BMW’s racing DNA—from Le Mans-tested machines to production-based icons.
