De Bethune has revealed two new additions to its portfolio just before Geneva Watch Days 2025. The DB28xs Kind of Blue Tourbillon and the DB25Vxs Starry Varius reinterpret two of the Maison’s most emblematic models in smaller, refined cases. This move reflects the brand’s commitment to blending technical mastery with artistic expression while embracing more wearable dimensions.

The DB25Vxs Starry Varius

Now presented in a 40.6mm case, the DB25Vxs Starry Varius is offered in polished titanium or 18k rose gold. Its dial evokes a poetic vision of the cosmos, with a volcanic-toned Milky Way motif set against a starry backdrop. Inside, the hand-wound DB2005 caliber powers the watch, featuring a balance-spring with a flat terminal curve, a silicon escape-wheel, and a titanium and white gold balance-wheel. A sapphire caseback reveals these details in full. The titanium edition retails at 65,000 CHF (approx. $80,000 USD), while the rose gold version is priced at 70,000 CHF (approx. $85,000 USD).

The DB28xs Kind of Blue Tourbillon

For the first time, the DB28xs Kind of Blue Tourbillon arrives in a 38.7mm XS case. It carries De Bethune’s signature cosmic blue tones, achieved by thermally oxidising grade-5 titanium components. Each surface, from polished to satin-brushed or micro-blasted, highlights the sculptural depth of the architecture. At its heart lies the DB2009v5 mechanical caliber, equipped with a 30-second flying tourbillon, a five-day power reserve, and a 22k gold winding micro-rotor. This piece is priced at 190,000 CHF (approx. $225,000 USD).

Both timepieces affirm De Bethune’s place as a leader in haute horlogerie, marrying bold design with technical innovation. Full specifications and availability can be found through the brand’s official website.
