His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council (DSC), has launched a nationwide challenge inviting designers and creatives residing in the UAE to develop a new visual identity for the Council. The initiative aims to reflect Dubai’s position as a global sporting hub while symbolising the city’s dynamic spirit and forward-looking vision for sports.
“In Dubai, we are always looking for ideas that reflect our identity, passion, ambitions and aspirations. This new visual identity for DSC will further enhance Dubai’s presence on the global sports scene and consolidate its position as one of the world’s most attractive and dynamic cities for athletes and sporting events,” His Highness said. He added that the identity should embody Dubai’s sporting ethos, support young talent, and reflect the city’s vision for the next phase of sports development.
The competition is open from 15 to 30 September, with entries submitted via the official website. Each participant or team may submit one entry. AI-powered tools are permitted if disclosed in the submission. The winning design will receive a cash prize of AED100,000 and will be featured across all DSC platforms, events, and publications.
Submissions will be evaluated based on four criteria: relevance to Dubai’s sporting vision, originality and creativity, attractiveness and flexibility in applications, and scalability for both large and small formats. Entries must be versatile enough for digital and print media while maintaining a cohesive identity.
The winner will be recognised at an official DSC ceremony, and their design will become the new face of the Council, reinforcing Dubai’s global sporting ambitions and inspiring athletes and audiences locally and internationally.
