On Friday, a gallery honoring the creations of Emirati artists opened its doors in Dubai’s Mazaya Center. His Excellency Mohammed Al Murr, Chairman of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Library Foundation in Dubai and a former Speaker of the UAE Federal National Council, officially opened the MRK Contemporary Art Gallery.
Dr. Najat Makki, Abdulqader Al Rais, and Faisal Abdulqader were among the participating artists. Aisha Mohammed Abdulkareem, Maitha Khalilabdul Wahid, and Hessa Mohammed Abdulkareem, three more young artists, also showed their creations.
The founder and accomplished abstract landscape artist Meena Kamal of MRK Contemporary Art Gallery stated that the gallery’s mission is to honor and promote Emirati artists as well as the creations of prodigious young artists, many of whom are also Emiratis.
