The Minute Repeater Perpetual brings together two of horology’s most challenging complications. This model showcases A. Lange & Söhne’s technical expertise. The minute repeater mechanism uses two precisely tuned gongs to chime hours, quarter-hours, and minutes with clarity. Patented features, such as a hammer blocker and pause elimination device, further enhance the chime. With 194 meticulously arranged components, the mechanism benefits from platinum’s acoustic properties, delivering a refined sound.
The perpetual calendar displays the date, day, month, and leap years. It requires adjustment only once every century. The moon phase, adorned with 750 gold moons and surrounded by hand-engraved stars, remains accurate for 122.6 years. The white gold enamel dial, encased in a 40.5 mm platinum frame, ensures outstanding legibility. Limited to just 50 pieces, this timepiece embodies both artistry and engineering.
The Odysseus Honey Gold: A Sporty Yet Refined Evolution
Originally launched in 2019, the Odysseus became A. Lange & Söhne’s first luxury sports watch. It has since evolved through multiple iterations in steel, white gold, and titanium. Now, for the first time, it debuts in the brand’s proprietary HONEYGOLD® alloy. A rich mocha mousse-colored dial enhances its warm-toned case. Large date and day displays, luminous hands, and hour markers provide excellent readability. The brushed surfaces, chamfered edges, and slender bezel offer a balance of sporty and elegant aesthetics. The Odysseus runs on the L155.1 Datomatic Manufacture caliber, a self-winding movement built for precision. The sapphire caseback reveals a skeletonized rotor with a platinum centrifugal mass, untreated German silver plates, and thermally blued screws. Operating at 28,800 semi-oscillations per hour, this movement ensures efficiency and accuracy.
