Abu Dhabi is all set to open a natural history museum, This monument will be taking the visitors on a 13.8-billion-year voyage across time and space. The Abu Dhabi Natural History Museum is expected to open by the end of 2025 and will be located on Saadiyat Island in the Saadiyat Cultural District, this natural museum will focus on maintaining the planet’s long-term sustainability.

The museum was launched on Wednesday by Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, a member of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council and head of the Abu Dhabi Executive Office. According to the Abu Dhabi Media Office, the facility would be the region’s largest of its sort.

The world-famous ‘Stan,’ a mostly intact 39-foot-long (11.7m) tyrannosaurus rex that is one of the finest preserved and researched specimens of this renowned predator from the Late Cretaceous Period, will be a feature of the new museum’s collection. Years of scientific studies of ‘Stan,’ as he is known to scientists all throughout the world, have advanced our understanding of various aspects of the carnivorous dinosaur. The 67-million-year-old dinosaur skeleton will be made available for scientific study, and it will continue to contribute to global education and research. The Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi galleries will take visitors on a journey back in time, narrating the evolution of the universe, the formation of the Earth, and the history of life on the planet, with a focus on immersive displays, curated collections with exceptional specimens, and innovative, interactive mediations. It will also give you a glimpse into the future.

The Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi will provide job possibilities in the emirate as well as at the national and regional levels, with curators to cover the complete range of natural sciences. In addition, as part of Abu Dhabi’s drive to accelerate the culture and creative sectors, it intends to attract and develop young talent.
