The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2026 will take place from December 4–6 at Yas Marina Circuit on Yas Island, bringing the Formula 1 season to its conclusion. The race is scheduled for Sunday, December 6, and will serve as Round 23 and the final round of the 2026 FIA Formula One World Championship.
The three-day weekend will combine Formula 1 practice, qualifying, and the season-ending race with entertainment and hospitality programmes around the circuit. Moreover, the event continues Abu Dhabi’s established role as the championship’s finale, with the race taking place under Yas Marina’s floodlights.
Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2026 Schedule
The official Formula 1 schedule lists Practice 1 and Practice 2 on December 4, followed by Practice 3 and qualifying on December 5. The Grand Prix itself is scheduled for 5:00pm local time on December 6.
The current weekend schedule is:
- Friday, December 4: Practice 1, 9:30am–10:30am; Practice 2, 1pm–2pm
- Saturday, December 5: Practice 3, 10:30am–11:30am; Qualifying, 2pm–3pm
- Sunday, December 6: Race, 5pm local time

Yas Marina Circuit and Race Experience
Yas Marina Circuit measures 5.281 kilometres and features 58 laps during the Grand Prix, producing a race distance of 306.183 kilometres. The circuit was modified ahead of the 2021 race, including the banked Turn 9, which shortened the lap and created additional overtaking opportunities.
Furthermore, the venue has a capacity of more than 60,000 spectators and offers grandstand, club and hospitality experiences. Official ticket packages can include access to F1 support races, fan zones, entertainment areas and post-race concerts, depending on the ticket category.
The 2026 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix will therefore combine the sporting importance of Formula 1’s final championship round with the wider entertainment programme surrounding Yas Island. For international visitors, the December timing also makes the race a major winter event in the UAE’s global sports calendar.
