The third edition of the Abu Dhabi International Boat Show (ADIBS) saw the participation of 353 exhibitors and brands, reflecting a 24% increase compared to the previous edition held in 2019. The event was held from 13 to 16 October, 2021 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Centre.
Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable & Humanitarian Foundation and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, ADIBS was inaugurated by Sheikh Sultan bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Frontline Heroes Office.
The event was organised by ADNEC in strategic partnership with Abu Dhabi Maritime and a plethora of companies specialising in vital marine sectors. Saeed Al Mansoori, Executive Director of Capital Events, said: “ADIBS is the ideal platform for learning about the latest innovations in the boating, fishing, and marine sports and leisure industries. In addition, the show is an ideal opportunity for marine companies to make deals, discuss cooperation, and find partnerships to help boost the growth of this vital sector.”
This year’s incredible range of marine activities included boat chartering and affordable boating for the first time in the event’s history. The outdoor event was the perfect central hub to discover the latest accessible and affordable ways to get into boating, watersports and fishing whilst enjoying the entertainment and attractions.
ADIBS boasted a variety of exciting interactive activities, including the Desert Shield Challenge, live shows at the Seafood Market, and enjoying a game of golf and feeding fish at the same time. The most prominent event was the UAE Flyboarding Championship organized by Abu Dhabi International Marine Sports Club on the sideline of the show.
We at Magzoid Magazine exhibited two amazing artworks by Dasha Lapushka, one named ‘My Lockdown’ and the other which focused on the pollution in the oceans. The show provided an opportunity for visitors to meet some of the top experts and companies responsible for building the biggest houseboats in Abu Dhabi, as well as introducing them to local and regional fishing equipment companies so that they can purchase their latest products. In addition, those interested in upgrading their boats were able to get in touch with a wide range of exhibitors that can provide them with advice on navigation equipment, high-performance engines, and much more.
