The Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation (ADMAF) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Mohammed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI) to create a pathway to knowledge for young people by co-curating a program involving international professors, speakers, artists in residence, scientists, and thought leaders in the cultural and creative sectors.
The collaboration between ADMAF and MBZUAI is aimed at fostering a cultural and creative environment for emerging local talents through STEAM projects, artist residencies, and publishing research papers. The MoU signing took place before the Riwaq Al Fikr – ADMAF Talk, which is an initiative launched by ADMAF in 2010 to promote cultural and artistic dialogue between industry experts and the public.
The MoU represents an exciting new chapter in the intersection of technology and the arts, reflecting ADMAF’s efforts in fostering a thriving arts and culture scene while embracing the transformative potential of technology. The MoU signing was followed by the Riwaq Al Fikr – ADMAF Talk entitled ‘Music And Artificial Intelligence,’ where a panel of leading experts in the field of music and artificial intelligence engaged in a thought-provoking discussion on how new AI technologies can create unique forms of artistic expression across piece and the performing arts, and its implications for the future of music.
